If you click on this link it’ll take you to a 60 minute documentary directed by Ivo Gormley on web 2.0 and political participation/ grassroots activism.
If you’re at a loose end this Wednesday 8th July there is a panel discussion in Parliament on the thing sponsored by Channel 4. Click here to register. It’s a freebie. Among those disecting this powerful and moving film (not usual that things on the internet have that capacity) are Douglas Carswell (Tory MP and harrier of the ex-speaker), David Putnam (chariots of Kinnock) and my good self.
Looks like there have been a few similar discussions recently – according to Sunny and Guido. Operation Black Vote did one I chaired on Obama and Web 2.0 not long ago. The film this one is based around is caled “Us Now”. Should be a good one and geuninely interactive in the old fashioned sense.

Just a bit racist.
I just think 'Thunderbirds Are Go!!!'
http://www.anenglishmanscastle.com/Miliband%20in%20the%20Sand.jpg
He alleges he wants "trade unions to be invited to meetings" and has a few warm words.
Strange how so late in the day Miliband has suddenly discovered how valuable the union movement is to Labour 9as well as bankrolling it's threadbare brother, "New Labour"
I suspect this is yet another otiose attempt by Miliband to put himself in the running to become the next leader of the opposition.
I just wish if that IS what he is up to, he would have the guts to come out and openly challenge Brown, instead of mouthing platitudes that he doesn't believe.
But for his own sake he should keep away from bananas if he is going to try and again, and reduce the gurning to a minimum.
Again as I said about Balls today, I neither like, respect or trust this minister - Bob marshall-Andrews so aptly described him a couple of years ago as "a pillock on a gap year"
